My sisters are my best friends in the entire world... and we have been through thick and thin together. I am thankful every day to have such a great relationship with them, and living close to them is one of the many reasons I'm so happy to be back home in Boise.

Jenn, who is only two years younger than me, is my oldest friend. Most of my childhood memories involve her, whether it was playing runaways from an orphanage in the backyard, or making much mischief and getting in trouble. When I found out that Jenn and Darius were expecting a baby, I was absolutely thrilled! It's been exciting to see Jenn's baby bump get bigger, and hilarious to watch Jenn and Darius as they try to pick out a name for their little boy (I still think they're going to walk out of the hospital with a birth certificate that says "Baby Portela"). Baby is due in October, and I can't wait to meet him!

Last weekend Jenn and I went out to Kathryn Albertson Park to do some maternity pictures. Jenn is SO photogenic, and I had a hard time narrowing down pictures to put up on the blog =) But, I was able to eventually, so here are a few of my favorites!

Last November I had the opportunity to do a maternity shoot with Kenna while we were in Boise for Thanksgiving. Since we lived in California up until this June, I never got to see Rowan after he was born so, naturally, I was thrilled to do a shoot of Kenna and her precious baby boy.

This little guy? SO CUTE!! Such a sweet face and personality... and Kenna is always so fun to photograph because she is just beautiful! See for yourself:

I loved this shoot.  Kenna was one of my first clients ever, back when she was graduating from High School.  In the years between graduation and now, a lot has changed for her.  She's gotten married to the love of her life, and is now expecting a little baby boy in January.  When I was in Boise for Thanksgiving, Kenna asked if I would do a maternity photo session with her and I exclaimed "yes!"... and did a little happy dance.  Kenna's husband, Todd, is in the army serving our country over in Afghanistan, so she wanted some pictures to send to him.  It was a sweet afternoon as we captured Kenna in all her beauty and excitement.

Congratulations Kenna and Todd, I'm so happy for you guys! I can't wait to see pictures of your little boy!
